Sophie Hernandez

Sophie Hernandez joined Covenant Trust in December of 2024. She is an integral member of the Covenant Trust team as she supports the corporate, administrative, and operational departments. A few of her responsibilities include processing payroll and other accounts payable items, tax reporting, statement processing for institutional clients, opening charitable gift accounts, and charitable gift reporting. Prior to being promoted into this role, Sophie worked hard in the trust administration department where she assisted five trust administrators and earned her trust administration certificate through the American Bankers Association.

Sophie graduated in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She brings valuable experience and knowledge from internships at some of the largest public accounting firms in the United States.

Outside of work, Sophie enjoys exploring Chicago with her significant other, Charles, and spending time with their cat, Waldo. Sophie is always looking for a new hobby or activity to try. Her current endeavor is learning to play the piano. Her other favorite hobbies include baking, hiking, kayaking, and reading books.
